Setter Architects’ design for a confidential client offices in Israel harmoniously blends vibrant design and sustainable practices across five floors, fostering collaboration and community while enhancing employee well-being and creativity.
Innovative Workspace: Architectural Design Blending Precision, Creativity, and Sustainability
The company’s offices, spanning five floors and approximately 8,500 square meters, showcase an innovative approach to workspace design that reflects the organization’s dynamic and egalitarian culture. The open-plan work areas are designed without hierarchies, with managers seated alongside their teams, fostering collaboration and a sense of community. A diverse range of meeting rooms is available for use by all building occupants, evenly distributed across the floors, complemented by collaboration zones scattered throughout, enabling flexibility and dynamism in daily operations.
A Vibrant and Distinctive Design Language
The architectural design concept is rooted in a vibrant color palette inspired by the company’s core activities, emphasizing precision and creativity. Each floor features a unique color scheme, serving as a defining element that connects various departments. This approach creates a varied visual experience in each zone, enhances wayfinding within the complex structure, and fosters a sense of belonging among employees.
The floor-specific cafeterias extend the colorful design language, serving as intimate social hubs with a distinctive character. A variety of seating arrangements encourages interaction and strengthens the sense of community among employees.
Dynamic Collaboration Zones
The collaboration zones, which form the heart of the organization’s informal activities, are designed with exposed, painted ceilings that create a sense of depth, energy, and movement. The choice of colorful ceilings reflects the nature of the company’s products and supports flexible collaboration among groups of varying sizes. Additional supporting spaces continue this design approach, maintaining a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere.
Minimalism and Contrast in Open-Plan Spaces
The open-plan spaces are characterized by a calm and light design language, with walls, floors, and ceilings in neutral tones that maximize natural light penetration and allow the vibrant color accents to stand out. This contrast highlights the colorful zones, amplifying their visual impact. Meeting rooms, in contrast, maintain a minimalist aesthetic with wooden ceilings, clean lines, and acoustic panels in shades that align with each floor’s color palette, creating a cohesive and refined experience.
Commitment to Sustainability
The project was designed in accordance with LEED Gold standards, reflecting a deep commitment to environmental responsibility, occupant well-being, and optimal climatic performance. All building systems—lighting, air conditioning, materials, and sensors—were carefully selected, incorporating green technologies to ensure efficient, sustainable, and long-term functionality while maintaining a comfortable and healthy work environment.
This project exemplifies how thoughtful architectural design can integrate creativity, functionality, and sustainability, creating a workspace that reflects the organization’s values and enhances the employee experience.
